Diabetes and Oral Health
Clinicians have always been concerned with the micro vascular and macro vascular complications of diabetes.Periodontal disease has been recently added as the sixth complication of diabetes.Numerous research have reported that there is a bi relational association between diabetes and oral health.Research also showed that periodontal disease has an impact on the blood glucose level. Patients who were found with poor oral health had uncontrolled levels of glucose.
